and solve problems through photonics. In 2010 the growing award ceremony also created quite a buzz within the photonics community. Quoted

Presented by SPIE and Photonics Media, the 5th annual Prism Awards takes place during
Photonics West, in San Francisco, California.

The 2012 Finalists will be announced in October 2012
Not unlike each of the previous years, the 2011 Prism Awards have seen another impressive class of innovative entries, worthy of
recognition. Our panel of distinguished judges have had the difficult task of
reviewing and selecting this year's finalists. In 2011-12, the Prism Awards has 28 finalists in 9 nine categories.
