Congratulations 2016 Winners

The 2016 presenters included Leo Baldwin of GoPro; Tom Mader of Amazon Lab126; Christoph Fark of SCHOTT; Nicoletta Casanova, CEO of FEMTOprint; Pieter Kerstens of Velodyne Lidar; Rosalie Clemens of ASE Optics.
Past presenters include industry leaders such as Babak Parviz,  Amazon and one of the inventors of Google Glass;  Mary Lou Jepson, currently at Facebook as well as founder and former CEO of Pixel Qi and co-founder and first CTO of One Laptop per Child; Michael Mertin, President and CEO of JENOPTIK and President of the Photonics21.
Winners are reconized annually at gala event  held during Photonics West, San Francisco, California, USA.

This group of expert judges devoted many hours to review over 130 applications for design and technology; novelty and innovation; need, market opportunity, and impact. Two rounds of scoring and a final review produced the top 3 finalists in each of the viable categories.
